After the "German Bakery" blast, we contacted Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad,Pune. After talking to the officers there, we realized that the Bomb Squad's job is quite tough and risky... When a suspicious bag/object is found at any place, bomb squad members has to risk their lives and work. Right from detection to disposal its very risky job.
Then we thought, there are certain jobs which are not needed to be done by a Human being. We can make Robots to do those jobs...!! e.g. A robot will go near to the suspected object and scan it, scanned image will be sent to the cont
roller who will be at safe distance. This will reduce risk to lives of the squad members.We contacted COEP robotics department regarding the issue. And they responded very positively. It is now PARIVARTAN's job to raise the funds for such robots, co-ordinate between the robot making team and the bomb squad and convert the concept into Reality!!
