After the unfortunate blast in Pune, PARIVARTAN members helped the hospital staff of Jahangir Hospital. Members did donate blood, and then helped the staff to manage sudden rush for blood donation. Ketan paranjpe managed tea biscuit service blood donors. He also helped the staff to move cots for blood donation. Along with Ketan Me, Indraneel Sadalge, Hrishikesh Karve, Shantisagar Nipunge, Soumitra Virkar, Abhishek Waghmare, Kedar Naik were helping the staff to avoid chaos at the hospital. We worked till 2 AM that day. One of the most memorable experience of our life....
We met some people who arrogantly argued us when they were told that enough blood was collected and no blood was needed. but on the other hand we met some active citizens like Rochak Marwa, 22 year old, who worked very hard at the hospital and helped the staff a lot. We also met a lady doctor who had come there at 11pm and offered help to hospital doctors....
Most of the experiences told us that there is still a ray of hope, people still ready to help each other, and have deep sensibility in them....
A different experience to share.....
One of the parivartan members Aniket Mundada had visited Sasoon hospital and worked there. He actually helped the hospital staff to move dead bodies of victims of blast. The experience he had was entirely different and unusual....
Articles about the experience and overall PARIVARTAN work was published in daily Sakaal(on 22nd Feb 2010) and Times of India(on 23rd Feb 2010).
